The Genocide Continues and Guess Who's Coming?

As children, caregivers, and families, we are called to do everything we can to stop the genocide in Gaza that is being enabled by our federal officials. On Sunday, November 12, children and families across the country will stand up to stop this violence and defend Palestinian kids’ future. We invite you to join us. Here in the Bay Area, we will gather at 9:30 am at the Oakland Federal Building, 1301 Clay Street.

We will have activities for families and kids of all ages to learn more in an age appropriate way about what is happening and to take meaningful action. There will be art, drumming, interactive activities, and more. All are welcome!

The 35ish year old woman was speaking to an audience of children from perhaps 18 months old  to possibly 4 or 5 years old.   She spoke of how the children of Gaza were being "hurt badly" and how wrong this was.   The children used magic markers to color in 8 1/2 by 11 inch sheets - for the Gazan People - the outlines were on the sheets.

They sang, they spoke and were most inspiring!

We marched after the Inspiring Rally

The speakers were in both Spanish and English. They were alliances of Feminist Women, Socialists, Palestinian Women and Men. We were in this Together!

I spent the whole rally holding up the banner.   Then the picture above with me holding my banner was taken.

It was relaxing sitting behind the banner holding it up with four and then five other people. It was a meaningful rally and I was a part of the first part of the March.
