Tough Storms Now and Probably More are Coming

The surf is noisy

The waves crash harshly

Twas clearly far too early

to expect smooth sailing ahead


The path to shore

contains many jagged rocks


Moving ashore won't be easy

The firm boat

Isn't that firm

The other boat

Remains stuck

in the water too


There are no guarantees

That shore will be

Safely reached

Can only hope

and navigate

My way

Trying my best


The surf is noisy

It will remain noisy - loud

Through the winter ahead.

BIG GIRLS DON'T CRY My father (Menachem) Imanuel Marx died Friday, November 13, 1964, when I was 13 years old.    My mother woke my brother and I up with the news early that morning.    We went to the hospital and saw him for the last time.
