A1 NOPE, DEMS NOPE, WE??
AI Overview (April
8, 2026)
As of March and April 2026, a small contingent of
Republican politicians has publicly opposed or raised concerns regarding the
escalation of war with Iran, focusing on the need for congressional
authorization, cost, and risk of a wider conflict. Key dissenting voices
include:
- Sen.
Rand Paul: Argued that only Congress can declare war,
criticizing the lack of congressional approval for strikes.
- Rep.
Marjorie Taylor Greene: Warned that hawkishness could
"fracture" the MAGA movement, stating constituents want focus on
domestic issues, not another foreign war.
- Rep.
Nancy Mace: Opposed sending U.S. troops to Iran.
- Rep.
Kat Cammack and Rep. Anna Paulina Luna: Criticized Sen.
Lindsey Graham’s influence on the war, with Luna suggesting Graham should
enlist if he wants to send others to fight.
- Rep.
Warren Davidson & Rep. Eli Crane: Expressed concerns
regarding the lack of public engagement and the "dicey" nature
of the conflict.
- Sen.
Lisa Murkowski & Sen. Susan Collins: Called for public
hearings, expressing frustration with a lack of information from the
administration.
While the vast majority of Republicans support military
action, polling indicated that 52% of the party's supporters opposed sending
ground forces. Some Republicans, such as Rep. Nathaniel Moran and Rep. Kevin
Kiley, have specifically questioned the destruction of Iranian civilization.
Trump is deeply unpopular — yet voters still
loathe Democrats

AI Overview
As of April 2026, a majority of Republicans support U.S.
military action against Iran, with polls showing roughly 67% to 85% approval,
largely driven by high trust in Donald Trump's handling of the conflict.
Support is heavily concentrated within the MAGA-aligned wing, though concerns
over potential ground troop deployment exist.
Key Aspects of Republican Support:
- Partisan
Divide: While Republicans largely support the strikes, the war is
deeply unpopular among most Americans, with a majority of Democrats and
Independents in opposition.
- MAGA
Influence: Support is strongest among MAGA-aligned Republicans
(90%), while non-MAGA Republicans are more divided, with 54% supporting
the strikes.
- Trust
in Leadership: Many Republicans express high trust in Trump to
handle the situation, aligning with his "America First" approach
to foreign policy.
- Internal
Division: Despite high overall support, some GOP lawmakers have
expressed unease over the administration's transparency and the lack of a
clear plan.
- War
Limits: Although they support airstrikes, a significant portion
of Republicans oppose sending U.S. ground troops into Iran.
I’m watching Democratic Senator Chris Van Hollen being
interviewed at 8:26 pm Eastern Time on April 8, 2026, speaking of how the
Republican Congressional Politicians are not (yet) standing up to resist The Iran
War.
I don’t see:
1.) Republican voters – pushing their Congressional Representatives
to stop Donald Trump and the Senate and House of Representatives. It appears obvious that the majority of
Republican voters – are allied with MAGA-Land – loyal to Donald Trump.
Individuals who have stated that they voted for Trump in
2024, have indicated that they disagree with the Iran War, however there is no “movement”
among The Republicans to stop the War, impeach Trump, deal seriously with what
happened related to Jeffrey Epstein,
2.) Democratic Party Politicians – to date have talked of
how bad Donald Trump is, and how what he is doing is illegal. I have Not heard of a single Democratic
Congessional Representative who is willing or able to seriously resist – what is
going on multiple politicians.
3.) To date – the military leadership of The United States
has shown no sign that they will resist the War in Iran – they are not refusing
to do “illegal orders” – as they are legally required to do,
4.) The U.S. Supreme Court has ruled against Donald Trump
and The Republican leadership in some court cases, and ruled with them on other
Court cases. They have not –
confronted the issues of “illegalities” or in any serious way stood up to
oppose Donald Trump
5.) The Republican House leadership did not seat a
Democratic Representative who was elected in September, 2025 until November,
2025.
6.) Republican politicians are not speaking out more than in
miniscule numbers that the 2020 election was “stolen” by the Democratic Party.
7.) Republican leadership and Congressional Members are
seeking to limit the vote in 2026.
8.) MS NOW – and other mainstream media are talking of the
illegalities, the war crimes, and similar.
At the same time, they are not ACTIVELY RESISTING – Donald Trump, while “reporting
the news”.
- -
Presume that:
1.)
Congressional Elections are held in November,
2026,
2.)
The Democrats win control of one or both The
House of Representatives + The Senate,
Wouldn’t it seem likely that with Democratic Leadership taking
power in January, 2027 that at a minimum Congressional Hearings would be held
related to the MANY ILLEGALITIES that have been spoken of – re: Iran, Gaza,
Epstein, subpoenas ignored + much more????
Do YOU really believe that Donald Trump and the Republicans
will allow – “Democracy to continue?”
in 2027 – related to “Presume that:” – above??????????????
IF we have elections in November, 2026, if the results are “fair”,
if the results are not caught up in the courts, etc., etc., I have trouble imagining
that there will not be – an “IMMEDIATE CRISIS” – a war, an “assassination
attempt” or ???? - where martial law is
declared or something similar!
Adolf Hitler was elected in Germany in 1933.
Donald Trump was elected in The United States in 2024.
I have seen ZERO sign – that we will have more than – No Kings
Marches and some other protests and Democratic Congresspeople – speaking out –
but NOT doing active RESISTANCE!
This is Fascism 101!
We need to do more!
There will be no “savior” – “leader to lead us”! We need to resist locally, collaborate
locally and in our states (and DC), and find a way to change the narrative.
It won’t come from ABOVE – such as The Democratic
Party. It will only come from cooperation
and confrontation, hopefully non-violently – against – The Rising Fascism that
is upon us! Black and Brown People –
many of them are doing as much as they can!
White People – particularly White Men – need to step up! We’ve never done it. I hope that we will – those of us – with power and influence speaking much, much more and doing much, much more. It’s our time!
Fascism is NO JOKE!
