Fascism Today - Survival Tomorrow

 

I Live in a World Today

Where -

NOT ONLY

Fascism – is threatening – Deeply Threatening

All of Us – Something I’ve Never seen before in my lifetime since the mid-60’s when I first had some awareness of “politics” and similar

But Also:

Where clearly I see two – slightly overlapping Groups – both of Caring, Loving People who:

1.    1,  Despite – being – “Intellectually – Intelligent – Highly Formally Educated” – still:

Don’t See – Literally Don’t See

How

The Genocide in Gaza, the West Bank and even in “Israel” itself both:

a.     Literally – is dangerous – in the coming days, months, and years  - including potentially – causing – Nuclear War – which could destroy our entire world – related to:  Israel, The United States (most deeply),

India, Pakistan, Russia, China – and likely reluctantly Iran – and faintly conceivably – countries like Syria, Saudia Arabia, and Yemen as well as

b.    Morally – Ethically – is Horrible, Unethical, Unfair

(Most Commonly – blaming – blaming – blaming – HAMAS – far, far from being – “the aggressor”  - in a deep sense – most deeply being:

“JUST Resistance” – legally and morally – resisting occupation – and related to it – decades – of being supported, enabled and more )– NOT generally – by Iran, Iraq, or similar – but rather mainly by Israel and now tied deeply with The United States – and the leaders of “the free world” (sic/sick)

And:

2.    2.  Advantaged – white men – similar in most ways to me

Who:

Are waiting, waiting, waiting

Stuck: both:

a.     In our heads – our intellect

b.    Our liberal foci – “donating money” – literally and figuratively

Being the Last

As Always,

Sometimes – dragging,

Sometimes – leading

Women and Gender Non-Binary Folx

We Care About

Waiting

Doing a Little – Locally

Sometimes More than a Little

But

Far Less – than we Could and Can Do

IF/When – we recognize both:

1.)  Our Potential Power – our Advantage(s) – to resist – to share communal leadership – build power – in positive – supportive ways

And:

2.)  How – we are both complicit – and the last – to – Join those already resisting – doing the work

Where we could

And Hopefully Still Can

Join

Resisting

Helping Prevent

The Fascist Destruction

We’re in

Getting

Deeper and Deeper

Immersed In – Today
