No Other Land - A Must See Film!
No Other
Land – is well-worth seeing! It will
hit very close to home for anyone who cares about The Palestinian People and/or
The Israeli (Jewish) People.
I began to write
a review after watching it – and stopped and didn’t get back to it. What I wrote follows:
No Other Land is a 2024 documentary film directed
by Basel Adra,
Hamdan Ballal, Yuval Abraham and
Rachel Szor in their directorial debut. The film was made by a
Palestinian-Israeli collective of four activists in what they describe as an
act of resistance on the path to justice during the Israeli–Palestinian
conflict. The film shows the destruction of a community in
the occupied West Bank who had been resisting eviction following the
declaration of an Israeli
"firing zone" on their land.[3][4]

LOS ANGELES (AP) — “No Other Land,” the story of
Palestinian activists fighting to protect their communities from demolition by
the Israeli military, won the
Oscar for best documentary on Sunday.

For those not in the:
“Israel can do no wrong, because God Bequested it 100% to us” and/or
“Israel has bent over backwards to make peace, but the Arabs repeatedly have
rejected a fair settlement and there’s no one to negotiate with….” Schools –
this film is most appropriately an Oscar Winner in 2025.
I cried a lot while watching the film (not rare for
me). I also felt a lot of anger, grief
and similar! No matter which polite
term or expletive – or simply – “Genocide” comes to mind, the story clearly
brings out the vision in spades!
Basel – a most caring Palestinian man is in danger of being
arrested, killed or seriously injured during most of the film. Yuval – the Israeli – investigative
journalist – or simply – the documenter of the horrors of fellow Israeli Jews
all around him – tries to support him and late in the film jokingly says that
they are or should be married.
Plenty of links and summaries and more follow.
